I bought one of the store bought hang over overflows for non drilled tanks. Any ways i got it off eBay and didn't notice in the picture that the box that goes in the tank wasn't included. Nothing was mentioned in the auction about it missing but he clearly said that the only pasts include were what was in the picture. I don't mind that i didn't get one cause i only paid 13 buck for it. I know i should have made a pvc one. Any ways i need to know if there is a way to make one or someone online where i can order just the box. My LFS wants 22 bucks just for the box. And the full setup is 89.99. Which is crazy.

There's a guy on cichlid-forum.com in the DIY section that has pics of one he made from a square white PVC drain pipe attachment for about $5, looks worth checking into.

Haven't been able to find the post but...
at hardware stores they have a PVC attachment with a square end used to attach to a drain from your roof,(usually about 4" piece) with the opposite end being round. I found a cap to put over the round end and hang the square end up, with PVC J hooks. A J tube spans between the PVC DIY on tank box, to the outside tank overflow. You may want to carve notches into the part at the waters surface. Kind of like this one.

I'll try to grab a pic this weekend, of one I've friction fit together, but haven't installed yet.

You can also buy acrylic sheets at Lowes or H.D. and make a box. After cutting out the parts, use pvc glue to put them together.

Considering you would be able to see this when veiwing the tank. I would go with Chompers idea or buy one. The one in the link is ugly.

I was refering tp the ugly one, when installed I plan on wrapping it in a piece of bark so it looks like a tree limb, but haven't got that far yet.

It could be shorter by redicing the size of the middle piece, so far just jammed together.

I broke down and bought one. It was 20 bucks but i have some fish credit so i used it. Thanks for all the help.
