I'm in the process of building a 200g glass tank and I'm wondering how close to the top most people stop the overflow. Should I leave an inch, half inch??? My thought is 3/4" to keep the water lever as close to the top as possible. My canopy will cover the top inch of the tank, so I want to make sure the water level doesn't show below the canopy

What has everyone else done? Is there any reason that I couldn't go 1/2 or 3/4 from the top edge?

Bump, Anyone??

Even if you have a factory built (pre-drilled, reef ready) tank, your input would be helpful. I'm planning to buy the glass today and I want to make sure that I get it sized for the correct height.

Thanks again,

3/4" sounds about right. I had mien lower on my 125 and I hated it.
