I recently picked up a 75 gallon tank at my LFS , didn't give it much thought till I got home but it has a corner overflow .... I plan to filter with my fx5 off my 150 gal that im planning to get rid of and I have no plans to use a sump ..... So my question is what is the best way to plug the holes ( in bottom of tank ) so that I can sleep at night knowing I'm not gonna wake up to a puddle of water ? :screwy:

Well my first thoughts were to just silicone a rubber plug into the inlet and outlet that are on the bottom but I am unsure if this would hold overtime

Another option is to use threaded bulkhead fittings and just use a plug. If you are paranoid you can plug the bulkhead on both ends.

In my experience, the schedule 80 bulkheads are much less prone to leaking than the standard ABS ones.

I think I like this idea also ..... I've just never had a drilled tank or had to deal with this issue and am just a little nervous about my whole tank draining

+1 for plug and thread tape on the plug. This will be best in case you want to change later
