Well I first had a problem with flow on the little gaps of an overflow not being able to handle my pumps output so I extended them down a litte bit (using a dremel with a bit from a rotozip) without making them wider (they are are 1/4"). Now I got 6 assorted africans that keep like swimming into the gaps or something and ending up in the overflow :(. They keep going there and I dont know how to prevent them from doing it so any suggestions? but I dont want to clog the overflow, And yes, I am in the month or two process of cycling the tank. Thanks

You can't fashion some sort of coarse screen to keep them out?

And why is it taking you that long to cycle? If you're going to use fish to cycle you should probably look in to a cycling aid... I've cycled 2 tanks with seachem stability, both didn't take over a week to finish.

Well its not really going to cycle that long but it will be that long before the final stock is in... Can you explain more on the windo screen idea? And what mesh would you use?

i also know of some like plastic Fencing for little slot cars like tracks and things its cheap black and has like a cross hatching looks nice i used it before worked nicely
