Hi all -
I'm in the process of setting up a 300g (96 x 24 x 30 tall) tank that has 2 built in overflows in each side.
Each overflow has a single hole each (3" / 2 1/2" respectively). I have been doing a lot of research into overflow designs and read up a lot on durso vs herbie vs bean animal.
Obviously I cannot do a bean animal as I only have 2 drain lines.
I was wondering if anyone has had experience in setting up a herbie with dual overflows with 1 hole per overflow? This means that I would use the 3" drain as the primary standpipe and have the 2 1/2" drain in the other overflow as the emergency standpipe.
I guess my main concern is having stagnant/dead water in the emergency standpipe overflow box?
Looking forward to your guidance and feedback.
