overflow VS return size, sizing questions

Okay, I have a 250g acrylic tank I bought used, don't really know any history about it

The bulkheads were clogged and messed up, so I took them out

SO, the thing is that the drain hole is 1.75" while the return is 1.5"

So my questions being, what size bulkheads do I need to place on the tank? And I assume i use the smaller hole as return since that is what it was used for previously. Also any advice with GPH vs hole size would be greatly appreciated.

chompers has a guide to overflow pipe rates. been a few years since i set mine up and can't really recall the sizes or rates.

aight i grabbed bulkheads

for the 1 3/4 hole the bulkhead is 1", still no idea how to match the flow to pump, maybe im tired but i cant make sense of chompers thread

Also forgot to mention its bottom drilled

Also now taking into consideration there are two holes, 1 3/4 and 1 3/8 or with bulkheads 1 and 3/4

i think most people use the smaller for the return correct? a

any pump recommendations also??
