overflow vs siphon

Look up a beananimal overflow. It is basically a combination of both with a fail-safe and is completely silent.

or Herbie overflow.....I run dual Herbies joined by a single 2" gate and it's totally silent and floodproof. Typical Herbies are a primary and emergency, but since I have 2 overflows, I ran my 2 primaries together and have 2 dedicated emergencies ....

the only problem ive had with over flow is they arent as good as siphens at picking up free floating debree. at least the ones ive used
