Wondered what the most efficient/safest height to fill my tank? It has two overflows and the sump is in the basement. I want to get the highest water level in the main tank as possible. How high should I fill above the overflow weirs? Should I just fill to the base of where the intake is then fill the sump to a comfortable level and turn the pumps on?
It's tough to even see the overflows in the picture but you can get an idea of the water level with the canopy off. It is about 1/2" above the weir which still leaves about 1/2" exposed with the canopy on. The tank is a 340 with a 75 gallon sump. It is cycling now.
