I just notice my tank temp went to 90 degree..

my heater was set at 82, but it was not turned on.. there is 1 water pump that was running in my wet and dry and thats and i have air pump and a power head that are running...

temp is usually at 81- 82, but not it went up to 90 for some strange reason.. any one has encounter this problem before?

Need some help and idea...

thanks.

dont know what the problem could be aside from equipment malfunction maybe? how old is your equipment? recently bought or old? either way put your hand close to all heat producing equipment and see if its unusually hot.

keep a close eye on your fish and add bags of ice to the tank if it gets to hot! (thou if my tank was at 90 i would probably already do this)

where in the usa are you?

I have just changed 25 % of water.. I had 2 sump pump, both rena 32, i only use one of them.. the other one is for back up, but i notice 1 of the pump is extremely more powerful than the other one.. the water was extremely hot in the wet and dry filter box, so i just switched the pump to use my back up one..

I am staying up to monitor this temp for awhile.. currently temp is at 84

i noticed this when all my datnoids changed color.

I am from Los Angeles.

I think my filter set up was kinda weird, i have 2 overflow and 2 sump in a really big w/d filter box... Iand my tank is only 125 g...
