Ok dudes as im moving on the 21st, i will have to move my fish in huge rubbermaid tubs, but beacause i wont have their home setup untill the next day they will have to stay in the tubs for a whole day :(.

Im really worried about this as my RTC is quite big and wont be happy at all with me.

I suppose my question is how can i keep the water warm and filtered during their stay in the tubs?

All suggestions are welcome and i only have a wekk to come up with a decent enough plan to ensure they wont die :(, i hate that word when it comes to my fish.

Help please people, thanks in advance ;)

An RTC should be okay in room temperature for a day. I would try to attach powerheads and/or air pumps to the tub to keep the water circulated. Will the RTC be the only fish in there or are there going to be other fish in the tub as well?

u can put a heater in the bin n the best way to keep it filtered/oxegenated if u have an internal filter such as an aquaclear powerhead w/quickfilter atatchment

well if you have canister filters you would probably be able to run them right on the tubs or at least jimmy rig a intake and outtake out of pvc. as far as warm just put the heater right in the rubbermaid.i would just make sure you get some sort of cover to put on top of the rubbermaid so there are no succesful jumping attempts.

I have 3 large tubs, so i thought my RTC and my TSN also a small hoplo in 1 tub............
my fire eel, crayfish and frontosa in another..........

My jags and their babys in the other.

u think this would be ok, i will be putting some air blocks in them but i wont have any heaters oh i have 2 spare so who should have priority over the heaters?

I have 2 externals but 1 will be sorting their home out for the next morning, the other isnt even cycled at all as ive just repaired it last night.

i do have an internal fluval 4 that i could use in 1 of the tubs but its a priority thing, who gets what.

I moved a big dovi from South Florida to South Texas over the course of 5 days, he lived in cooler with a battery operated ari pump..........no problem

so u think i could be thinking about it too much instead of just doing it as best i can and keep monitering the temp of the water

dude stop overreacting. my buddy kept his $1000 flowerhorn in a tub for a week with just a air pump. he actually keeps the FH at room temperature anyway. i tell him thats bad but he says its been like that for 5 years so what am i to say.
