Been searching a lot, so I have a general idea of when a tank would be overstocked, but I might as well throw out my scenario and see what everybody thinks.

150 gallon with a ESHOPPS wet dry.

This is what we will have so far:

Two 10" inch Bichirs. A senagalus and and endli.
One 7" Irwini Catfish

What we hope to add:

One odeo pike

Two other 10-15 inch fish that wouldn't be bottom dwellers. Something that actually swims around.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated. This site is a wonderful resource!

Is this a standard 6' 150? If so id think that sounds fine, but the2 unknowns in the 10-15" range id keep more in the 10-12" range due to the tank width...

It's actually a 48x30x25 so I've got an extra 6 inches in the width. We might stay in the 10" inch range anyway, we just want some color and movement in the middle of the tank.

We'd love an arowana, but figured it would out grow the tank pretty quickly.

yeah an arowana wouldn't do well in that length long term. Don't know about the others

Cool dimensions, how about some smaller top dwellers?

The tank was a great score off Craigslist. An older all glass Oceanic drilled and in mint condition. It fit perfectly into the room it was going into.

Our only concern with smaller top dwellers would be that as the endli got bigger, the smaller guys would become lunch for him.

Odoes don't swim around much, not like arowanas, ime at least. My odoe hovers a lot at the top and just watches me. I had bala Sharks that swam a lot, my odoe was most active during this time, he would chase them when they dart by, and the larger bala would chase him back, never any biting, one day my curupira got mad the and killed a bala, then eventually the next one too. It's cool how you can see clear cut bites. I liked them though, never stopped swimming. I have bichirs with mine and she doesn't bother them, though she follows them when they come up for air, but doesn't do anything.

Green terror pair, maybe white saum if you want something a little rarer, colourful and personal...My gt surfs the glass all day!

I've read that odoes don't move much, but I think they're cool looking and they won't be at the bottom of the tank.

A green terror pair might be cool. Thanks for the idea.
