I have a male jag, a texas juvi, a green terror juvi, and nicaraguanese juvi in a 125 with driftwood. Will these fish get along into adulthood, or is this tank overstocked.
I have a nic with a jack dempsey, and (had) a texas and a green terror and breeding 4 inch cons and a salvini in a 75 and he was the boss of all of them, but all the fish were the same size or smaller, so if you make sure he is the biggest he should be better off...But that was wen my tank was way over stocked, but i always saw stand offs between the huge con and him and the nic would always win.
Yeah, I think you are all right. The nic was definitly the one I was worried about. He is about the same size as the texas and the green terror, but I don't think he will grow as fast as them. I was thinking about giving him to my friend.
If the nicaraguan is the biggest fish in the tank, I think that it will be ok. I have a nicaraguan with a few smaller but more aggressive cichlids (texas, grammodes, jags etc.) and the nicraguan runs the tank! It really depends on the fish, so you'll have to wait and see how things work out, but be ready to pull the nic out if needed.
I am soon going to pull out the nic and give him to a friend of mine. When I do this will I be able to add a trimac, or would that be pushing the limits. That would give me a male jag, a texas, a green terror, and a trimac. That sounds like alot of muscle and attitude in one tank, but I would love to see it!!!
since they are juveniles, there is a chance they can grow up peacefully together. but that nic doesnt get as large or nearly as aggressive as those other guys so just watch out for him. good luck.
