If so Senegal Bichir or ABK?

One oscar alone is too big for a 55 gallon.

ehhh yeh but they are pooping machines, if you kept an oscar, even one around 5-6 inches theyd make a mess of your tank trust me

i full grown oscar probably can't turn around in a 55

Overstocked because of the oscar, unless hes small. A full size one needs at least a 120 to live a good life

He is small but you guys are right. I really cbf upgrading tanks so I'll probably grow him out. My LFS gives you 50% of what they sell the fish for and large oscars there go for 20-25$ vs 10$ for a smaller one. Plus he'll be fine in the 55 for quite some time yet.

Just make sure you have a very good water change schedule, otherwise you might run into HITH and other problems
