ox eye herring "tarpon"

They have some at the lfs they are about 6" long
Are these the same massive fish that i saw when i googled tarpon
or are ox eye herring different to tarpon.i think they look awesome but i dont want a fish that grows to 80lbs+

i think youve seen the indo-pacific tarpon at the lfs.
they get big too,say....4-5 feet.
