So I see this amazing blue snail at the bus stop and throw it in a cup. Now I'm relatively sure it is a carnivorous Oxychilus cellarius. The part I don't understand is what to feed a carnivorous land snail. It didn't want Hikari sinking carnivore pellets. Does anyone know where I can find such information? Google has failed me so far. The only facts I have found are that it is invasive, carnivorous and rarely lives longer than one year.

To my best knowlege predatory land snails eat only other smaller land snails of other species. Make shure you keep your new friend in a rater moist small terrarium with peat, a few logs and a shallow water conteiner. Put in a small snail when both are active. Your critter is a very interesting pet, would love to have one:D Can you sher some photos? Also dont forget snails have both sexes, so any other one of the same species you find is a potencial mate, considering its small longevity breeding a few would allow you to keep them during extended periods of time
