What are you guys feeding your big boys , my baby is only about 24" long yet every other day he consumes a handful of pellets/ algae wafers and wants more...

Looking for an economical solution that will not pollute the tank and keep him healthy..

Thank you both, I currently buy my food from ken's ...even in bulk your looking at 7.00 a lb for wafers . The Niger could easily go through a lb a week. ..More expensive than my dog to feed? looking to get the food down to about a 1.00 a lb? is that possible?

Has anyone found a good feline dry food that sinks or a sinking koi pellet that may work?

Trout pellets, every day and a few prawns/mussels now and again and big fat garden snails.

mine grew to 30 inches in 2yrs. i feed him trout pellets, night crawlers and prawns sometimes although he relishes the night crawlers the best

Mine kills market shrimp, algae wafers and masivor. I would love to have more options The masivor is very expensive

The good news I have for you is that mine started to slow down on their growth at this point, which meant I actually had to cut back on feeding a bit due to the fact they were becoming undeniably fat. Dont get me wrong, I'm still feeding a lot, but the expontentially increasing amount of food I was needing to feed has seemed to stabilize. You should start seeing him really bulk up at this point while continuing to put on length at a slower rate. (My two larger ones are around 30", and they've gotten beefy this last year and a half).
