Just got back from a 5 day fishing trip, 3 in salt, 2 in fresh water. Here's some pics.

Sort of country we were fishing in.

What we caught....

Mangrove Jacks

Blue Salmon

Barramundi

cool! Looks like a lot of fun!

Nice catches.

GT (giant trevally)

Estuary Cod

Small barracuda

Queenfish

Brassy trevally, so called because of the colour of their fins.

Pikey bream

Will post more pics later if people are interested. In all, due to bad weather and cold water, the fishing was way down in terms of size and quality. Check out the thread on the fresh water fishing to be posted later, where we caught jardini aro, tarpon etc.

You lucky:swear: ER all i can do is  No big Barra?

The biggest we got this year was only 75cm (2.5 foot). In the past, we caught them up to over 1m (3.5 ft) and 35-40lbs. Same with the GT's and all the rest.

The water temp was way down, sometimes down to 19 deg Celsious, whereas in years past it was up to 24-25 degrees.

We only caught 19 species this year, last year, we caught 45.

Other fish caught were archerfish(including a monster of 12 inches), Queensland grouper, long tom, salmontail catfish etc.
