I got two ozelot swords about two months and they are not flourishing at all one of them seems to be doing ok but not really the other gets all yellow and brown and is dying im running a eclipse t8 bulb as well as a marineland LED Aquarium light ( the t8 is very old could this mean its not working properly?)im supplementing with api liquid carbon and seachem flourish and im using plant formula substrate, WHAT AM I DOING WRONG . I had a melon sword and amazon sword in before and they were just fine the amazon had huge growth but i decided to switch them out for these cause i liked the broad leaves :screwy: ANY help would be greatly apprecated as i based my whole aqua scape around them...

I have one in my 75 gal that was doing very poor till i rooted it into my driftwood. Now the driftwood and plant are inseperable i would have to destroy one or the other to seperate them. I also started using root tabs once the roots hit gravel again. Hope this helps, just mt experience

I kinda just stuck the root ball in a crevice of mine and in like two weeks it was secure.....like i said its just my experience this is the first time ive had one but its doing well in my 75 and is probably a year old...no co2 and only 2 bulb t8 lights.

yea i dont really wanna risk it plus im already using all my drift wood anybodyelse have an idea?

Most swordplants are heavy feeders that need fertilizer added for good growth. Also, since the melon sword has more red in it, it requires stronger lighting. Your bulbs may be getting old.

Alright ill get a brighter t8 bulb and some under root tabs I hope the plant makes it I just find it strange cause the amazon sword had such huge growth...
