Ozone generator for freshwater

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using one on a freshwater tank?
Did you install a denitrator to eliminate the nitrates (which is one of the byproducts of ozone)? Did this eliminate or reduce your need to do water changes?

ozone in high doses is toxic to most living organisms.

The ozone would be used similar to a UV sterilizing tube, in which to kill all virus, biological, and chemical waste. Municipal waste water facilities use it to recycle water.

Carbon would be used to get rid of the ozone before it went back into the tank.
