Mine has grown from 3" to 6" in mere months....heard they are very slow growers.

Awesome pics prob my fav cichlid. What are you feeding. I have to say mine is on the slow side (growing) not super slow but def less than average.
Also drives me nuts real picky eater. Nasty though beat up other argentea and heterospilus grow out and killed some tiget barbs i was using as dithers
