I need some info on a p auroa it is a beautiful african cichlid. How much would this cichlid cost. What kind of temperment does it has.

Yeah price really depends on the place that you get them from.

The price will be dependent on whether or not the fish is wild caught, an F1 or just a tank bred fish. The first two options will cost more but are the better options to look at. They will result in a far better quality fish being bought.
Aurora are known to be quite aggressive. It is a really beautifull fish to have in a tank. :naughty: :woot: :clap :headbang2

check out this site. I don't think the stocklist has been updated in quite some time but I'm pretty sure he has P. aurora available. If not he can get them. He's located in Richmond, IN by the way so you could probably have them shipped fairly cheaply. Just send him an email from his site and see if he has them.

I went to the store 2 weeks ago and saw an auroura for $75.00
I then went home to grab one from my tank.
Traded my $10 fish for lots of goodies.
some people really like theese fish.

I've been to shops where the average going rate for a run of the mill tankbred gold ocellatus was $34. Each.
Any retail shop can raise the price on a fish to whatever they want based on local availablilty, rarity, demand, etc. Some shop owners just have big brass ones and will demand anything the want for whatever's in the tank.
M. aurora, though charming, aren't very high demand. They were more popular back in the day having, not so much now having the reputation of being a more laid-back mbuna. Comparible to M. socolofi IMO (which are really a bit more scrappy than they're made out to be).
If you look well enough you can find wild P. aurora with locale for under $20 each.
There's a seller on Aquabid who sells some from Mozambique occasionaly. Keep your eyes peeled.
