I just purchased two Rio Meta Orino's, from Jimmy1974, that are amazing for two reasons, one there coloring is insane, and there eating non-live, but my existing 5 inch Ocell, was eating live only before the Orino's arrived. What do i do now, i don't want to throw in feeders, and have my new Orino's eating live again, do to the the fact that Jimmy1974, did such a great job getting them off live, but whats my live eating ocell going to do. Does anyone one think, that watching my orino's eat Krill only, will make him follow there lead......Please Help.........Thx in advance:nilly:

maybe set up a divider until you can get them eating the same foods? you definitely dont want to starve them at such a young age

I think he will learn quick from the watching the others eat.

+1

Also, I have used tilapia that I cut into thin strips about the size of a minnow to convert my pbass (they are 5-6"). They are hesitant at first, but they catch on.

I had bass that didnt eat live and 1 ocell that thats all he wanted was live but i just keep feeding non live and then one day it converted. I wouldnt give in....He'll learn by watching.

Thanks for all your responses...I will stay strong and not give in to live..........

The orinos have gone from live to krill and back to live then back to krill again. If you have to give the feeders, its ok, dont starve him. You need to get him to come to the top, through one feeder in literally by throwing it in. He has to get use to the splash of the feeder hitting the water. After 2 or 3 feeders, throw a krill. Eventually he'll hit it and hold it. Once he starts getting the taste for it, Bam, your golden. The orinos though, you shouldnt have a problem getting them back to krill.
