P Bass experts.. Help!!

One of my Mono's in my growup tank seems to have his jaw stuck open? almost like he yawned and its now stuck that way... he had a huge feeding last night on talapia....

Ill post pictures asap...

any one ever had this happen to a P around 5 inchs long?

He's probably still got food in his mouth. They will hold it if they can't swallow it sometimes.

No food in the mouth I checked. and he ate almost a day ago, ive seen them have food just stuck in there mouth this isnt the case....

Take him out and reset his "jaw". his top fold of his mouth is on the inside of the bottom.

I took him out and played around with his jaw but it didnt seem to help. That definantly seems like whats wrong I just dont know exactly how to fix it... do i push his cheeck bones in?

To me, It looks like it's set wrong. If his gill plate is popping out as you try to close the mouth, Try and set it the other why. It might just be off set on one side. So make sure you look at both sides.

my wife gets this sometimes after about a 10 minutes.....LMAO

J/k follow what these guys are telling you, it sounds like the plates on the sides are overlapped, or cross as somebody suggested.
