Of course any pellet can be used to feed cichla but judging by its ingredients, I would rather use others products such as hikari, omega one and new life spectrum.

Just look at the ingredients and compare. The ingredients pretty much explain themselves. The thing I don't like about those pellets is that it only has fish meal followed by a lot of fillers. I don't see anything in that food that would also help with coloring such as kril, spirulina and shrimp. In my opinion, I wouldn't feed it to my fish but its your fish so it all comes down to you.

Hikari Sinking Carnivore- Fish Meal, Krill Meal, Starch, Brewer's Dried Yeast, Soybean Meal, Fish Oil, Wheat Flower, Dried Seaweed Meal, Spirulina, Dl-Methionine, L-Lysine, Astaxanthin, Canthaxanthin, Choline Chloride, Vitamin E Supplement, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C), Inositol, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Vitamin A Oil, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Niacin, Menadione Sodium Bisulfite Complex (Source Of Vitamin K), Folic Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Biotin, Vitatmin B12 Supplement, Ferrous Sulfate, Magnesium Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Cobalt Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Calcium Iodate, Red 3 (Artificial Color).

Hikari Floating Sticks- Fish Meal, Krill Meal, Wheat Flour, Starch, Flaked Corn, Brewer's Dried Yeast, Rice Bran, Dl-Methionine, L-Lysine, Astaxanthin, Canthaxanthin, Choline Chloride, , L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (Stabilized Vitamin C), Inositol, Calcium Pantothenate, Riboflavin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Niacin, Folic Acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Ferrous Sulfate, Magnesium Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate, Manganese Sulfate, Cobalt Sulfate, Copper Sulfate, Calcium Iodate, Aluminum Hydroxide.

New Life Spectrum- Whole Antarctic Krill Meal, Whole Herring Meal, Whole Wheat Flour, Algae Meal, Beta Carotene, Spirulina, Garlic, Vegetable and Fruit Extract, Ginseng, Vitamin A Acetate, DL Alphatocopherol (E), D-Activated Animal-Sterol (D3), Vitamin B12 Supplement, Niacin, Folic Acid, Biotin, Thiamine, Riboflavin Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Calcium Pantothenate, L-Ascorby-2-Polyphosphate (Stable C), Choline Chloride, Ethylenediamine Dihydroiodide, Cobalt Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate and Manganese Sulfate.

Omega One Cichlid Pellets- Whole Salmon, Whole Herring, Whole Shrimp, Wheat Flour, Wheat Gluten, Fresh Kelp, Lecithin, Astaxanthin, L-Ascorbyl-2-Phosphate (Source of Vitamin C), Natural and Artificial Colors, Vitamin A Acetate, Vitamin D3 Supplement, Vitamin E Supplement, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, Folic Acid, Biotin, Inositol, Tocopherol (Preservative), Ethoxyquin (Preservative).

I wouldn't use it because I don't like to feed my fish foods with protein from other than aquatic animals in it. In the ingredients you list poultry by-product meal, and spray dried animal blood cells, which are two ingredients that I can't see your fish benefitting from. Plus like Tydus said theres nothing in that ingredient list to aid in coloring no krill, shrimp, Astaxanthin,or Canthaxanthin. You get what you pay for pretty much.
