anyone have any specific methods to cure ick with a pbass? ive been using medication i bought in my LFS but was wondering if there is anything better to do for pbass. any help would be much appreciated by me and my cichla

Bump the temp past 86*. Add a little salt if you dont already have some. Give it a week or two. It will be fine. You can stop the meds. They're not necessary.

bump temp over 87 degrees (it should already be at 87)... then just sit back and wait

ok so i added some salt and the temp was 86 already. he looks a little better.
it appears like his skin is peeling off in spots. is that how he gets rid of the ick?

Where do you guys get the 86 degree normal temp. What variant of PBass is this for? I was looking for temps of the Orinoco river and found that it varies quite a bit depending on where you are along the river.

Is everyone picking one specific time of year at one location when specifying this temp?

lol make a long sotry short ... you are better off keeping your temp high when they are at least young.
