Hey I know this lady at my LFS and shes getting me some pbass and i just wanted to know what they prefer. Like water temp., ph, and anything else also what size tank do they need? Thanks!

water temp 86, normal ph level, a 125 should do you just fine for awhile. Most keepers get rid of their pbass by the time they hit 14" to make room for other fish that come in from vendors, so you do not need a 500 gallon or anything like that unless your serious about them down the road. Start off with frozen blood worms, then try crushed up freeze dried krill once their hitting the top.

I see people are finding ways to acclimate them on commercial foods. But I think they still do better on live.

86.....as said a 120 will be fine for a year or so as long as its not a temensis. After a year a 180g is min.

Sorry but I disagree with you on that one. Most cichla keepers agree feeding live is worse both on the fish and on your wallet. If you can get them on anything non-live you will be able to give them a more varied diet which is always a good thing.

But as far as temp and tank size gangster took care of those questions for the OP.

Ok thanks guy but i see them will gars and arrowanas and stuff and dont gars and arrows like around 78-80 degrees?

Arowana come from some of the same water where peacock bass do, so the temp will not be an issue for them. As for the gar I have a Florida gar in my cichla tank and have had no issues at all, not really sure on any other species of gar but I have kept both Florida gar and silver arowana in my bass tank and the combo worked out quite well.
