i hope im not stepping on anyone's toes here... which are not my intentions... but just willing to help and dropping my 2pennys... i will say mono'c and temensis...as far as the OrinO side of things... i do not see any... but i do see the possibilitys in a couple of them, but at the size now, its a long shot as they slowly transform into monoculus...my reasons are as follows.... is head shape is to long of a snout but some are short but possibly because of picture taking.. pix 1-3 will show differences if you look closely.... also another monoculus trait... is the tail.. showing to much RED!!! as OrinO's they only would have red slighty on the bottom half & the top would be translucent to the body color and a blueish glaze.. once again pix 1-3 shows to much RED on top to bottom.... the temensis.... LOL that common sense... i hope:D

once again im no expert... just have a tad bit of experience see'ing them grow before my eyes.... pic below should help you understand my theory.... also if i may be wrong, pls address it to me. i will not take it personally.. as already i had mentioned i will never again I.D orino's because of the trouble they gave me back then, so pls.. if so, no harm, no foul;)... just trying to point out the obvious.. and to help out a fellow MFK'r!;) best wishes BASSMASTERP....!

I really appreciate your 2pennies this is the info i'm looking for, you might be right I do see the difference in the head it is longer slant looking and the back fin does have more red. This slight detail does make a difference in finding out what species it is and thats why I find this hobby so interesting especially with Pbass there is so many variations out there! Thanks, :D Nice pics.

In person can you still see the gold rings around the spots? or did they disappear.

Its crazy because I remember JUSTINK said in the beginning he had some of these and they turned into monos, that the rings disappeared. I didn't thing that was possible but I guess he was right.

It's crazy because the spots on it still makes me feel like they are Orinos. As the bars don't extend to the top of the body. It somewhat stays midpoint.

Also, yours do not look like they are stressed. The colors look pretty bold & stable.

Here's an illustration on markings. Also, the visible spangles on the Spiny Dorsal & Soft Dorsal are pretty clear somewhat Kelberi like..LOL.. not saying they are Kelberis but pretty noticeable for such a young fish. Just an interesting development on these guys.

I really can't wait until these guys get bigger.

sry it turned out to be true :(. was hoping it wouldnt. i bought 9 a long time ago with the gold rings as juviniles thinking they were orinos as well. lost the rings around 3-4"... weird to think theyd have orino markings as juvinile and then they fade to mono marking . anyone who would have seen them in the store as babies would have no doubted for a second they were orino as R1 and myself did. still very nice bass thought :)
