Are P Bass always so skitish? Do they grow out of it?

Yes they will. As soon as I get to the bottom of the steps my big guys perk up and come to greet me... and beg for food.

My little orinos have been doing it since about 3.5".

Man that **** is bothering me. It had me worried about them this whole weekend. Had me nervouse about putting them in the bigger tank for fear of them hurting themselves running so fast and hard. CRAZY!

as soon as i walk in the room they follow me wherever i go awesome

I cant wait until they get to that stage because they run as soon as I hit the living room. I dont even make it aroound the corner and they disapear like a single father at a praternity test...

The wierdiest thing about it is the fish that i had in there with them were not that way and then they started doing it now all the fish do that crap in that tank., It sucks! So I moved the Vieja out and left the P bass with the plecos only so hopefully that helps. I had emptyed the tank but last night had to rescue a convict so i removed some decor. from the 150g and put them in with the P bass hopefully this will calm them down a bit.

Moving things around has helped for me in the past. I had my 3 orinos with 8 clown loaches and a niger.. I moved the clown loaches out and added a psittacus and a thin bar. Now they are more sociable than they were before.

You can also try other dithers.. To watch them or get better pictures, try to do it when the room is dark and the tank is bright. It's harder for them to see you.

Coo will try the picture thing in the dark or later in the evining. I am just growing them out for a few more months and they will be going into the 150g but I don't think dithers would like that tank very much! Way to much AGRO!

Mine aren't as skittish anymore. It has been almost 2 months with them. They do seem to give me the stink eye though.
