I was told P. Clarkii?
It's been the only one in my house since the day I bought it august,2,2012.
Today after not seeing it out for a week or so I see it crawling out from the drift wood.
It has a full tail of babies.
It was suggested maybe it can store sperm?
If it can that's a long time. It's been moved around many times.
It's only been in this tank for a month.
It's been found crawling around the floor at least 10 times. Once to the point where it was almost dried out.
I'm hoping to figure out how it's has these babies.
Maybe these are self cloning as well?
Not much info out there about sperm storage.
Only real info is about how a female can have one brood with the DNA of 3-4 different males.
I skimmed over quickly that's the only real mention of sperm oh and how the males sperm plug doesn't prevent other males from breeding with the same female it just stops his sperm from falling.
Any thoughts?
I personally know nothing about these guys.
Thanks in advance
