Congicus doesn't have that pigment in the dorsal fin! :D

I see the faint endli stripes you're referring to, but the scales look abnormal to me. They look as if the skin is inside out. Are you familiar with scale deformities? These look like they have the concave scales I've seen on some senegals.

yes.i just have a endi endi with scale deformities..

but my picture can't display concave in focus ...

++++++

above bichir i think that's a trick by those vendor..

i don't believe they're congicus. i agree with you, looks like P.e.e. i don't know why they look like this. not sure if it's genetic or due to environment.

very interesting looking! did their stripes darken up any at all? anyway i like it :)

to infblue:
july.2007,a vendor told me and said he has a bichir call p.endi endi "white" .(he not said platium),but when i saw his bichir pic,i am disappointment. because that bichir same as #1 bichir....i don't know where they are import to china..

i think that is a CB endi endi with vendor's trick..
i think maybe they are try to change bichir "Tyrosine-leve" to let the Pigment cells become low-active.

when then Pigment cells working on low-active and bichir will become Light-coloured

or they will use some unkown Chemicals to change endi color..

or they will try to CB "endi platium" ,but failed..

or we are unknow means to change..

i like it
