About 20 years ago I had the most amazing race of P. fenestrata. They had the typical coloration but a very unique pattern. Since then I have tried this fish a few times but they never turn out looking near as nice as the fish I had 2 decades ago.

A nice fish to be sure but not what I want. I finally came across a picture that shows a good example of the fish I would love to have:
Note the heavily scribbled pattern on the face as opposed to the solid red in the first photo. They have it tagged as coming from Rio Papoloapan. Anyone know where I can find this fish? Other than the Rio Papoloapan that is LOL
