I recently bought a young Pterodoras granulosus and i was wondering what the growth rate on these guys is? Is it slow and similar to that of Megalodoras uranoscopus?

Close to the same growth rate. Two of mine are a little larger, the rest are about the same size as the uranoscopus. They all started out the same size.
They grow quicker than Megalodoras, especially up to the 12" mark then slow down, once they get the taste for something they will come out to eat no matter what time it is, lights on or off.
