How come I dont hear anything on here about the Histrix ray. Just curious. I had one in a tank with an Arowana but one day the both went belly up and the water turned white/cloudy. Dont know why but anyway, is this not a popular ray to anyone?

I love histrixs rays. I'm waiting for rvrrays to breed his so that I can buy one of his pups. I'm going to get one sometime, plus they are a prefect ray that you can keep in a 180gl.

I think reticulatas are pretty uderated as well. I think people just prefer the more colorful rays or rays with more unique patterns.

But I would take a histrix anyday.

I love 'em all, I guess they just don't get as much exposure as others, so we don't really hear much in the keeping hobby. I want one though - hey Honda, where you gettin the pup from??

rvrrays has 3 females and 2 males that are of breeding size and he is hopeing to get pups out of them sometime this year. If he does get pups out of them this year I will see if I can buy one from him. I'm not getting one right now though, but maybe somtime this year.

I would lave to have onother one but in Texas I hear the beat your kids to death if you are caugght with one. Seriously it is a major majo federal offense that they dont take lightly here. :swear:

That suxs.

They are my favorite ray.

I hope to get them to breed this year.

They have cool personalities, a unique body shape, slow to grow and can live in a 180 for life.

People should pay a lot more attention to them.

There are three histrix and one motoro in this picture. They are in a 220.
