My guy is growing fast. He is almost 8". His colors are dark. Do you think it's the black background?

Could be the background or his level in the tank hierarchy. Nice fish though

Thanks, he isn't the top of the hierarchy, but not at the bottom. There is no aggression, but he gets chased by that syn and a JD the same size once in awhile.
Wow, yours is amazing! I see you have a lighter background I wonder if that's it. Mine used to have a lot more yellow like yours. Now his fins are all black. Thanks!
Thanks. Hard to put a lot of big fish in a 150. I struggle with that in my 150. Loisellei looks good.
