hi everyone,
I have a group of four placidochromis milomo, two males and two females, that are about three inches average right now. the males are staying pretty pale except for when they spar, the loser darkening slightly. they are showing some faint streaks of blue and red, but not much. any idea how long, or at what size these fish will really start to show some color? thanks in advance

It really depends on water premeters, foods, tank mates, etc... Some color up real early and some color up late... so can't exactly tell you when they'll color up. I feed mine NLS and colord up when he was around 3-4 inches long.. I like 2 to 6 ratio males to females... but that's just my preference.

would have liked to have a better male to female ratio but started with a group of four and this is what i have ended up with. they get nls, but also spirulina flakes, hikari cichlid bio gold, and vitamin fortified mysis and blood worms. i like the nls too but don't believe in just feeding out one food
