p. niger vs acrylic

Anyone with experience keeping a p. niger in an acrylic tank? The armour on the large p. nigers that I've seen looks like it may be rough on acrylic (scratching).

I have 2 in my aycrilic tank, they do fine they are lazy fish so they barely move too, I have no scratches
