I really like the simplicity of that tank! It's good to see a fellow saulosi keeper! Have you had a darker substrate with these guys? I have pfs for substrate, and they seem a bit washed out. I have 60lbs of tahitian moon sitting here and an empty 55 that the saulosi will be moved into, but I'm debating on using the moon.

This is my current tank- (this was taken about 8 months ago, it turned out that 2 out of the only three I could get are males. Northern WI can suck sometimes.)

This is the only substrate used. I have a bag of tan pfs I would like to use but trying to separate the crushed shells from the white pfs will be a pain so im trying to lose a little sand each wc. The breeder I obtained them through gave me 2 extra females incase any changed, one did and I lost it but I don't think it was to aggression. These guys are fun, not enough to quit new worlds but definitely fun. The hardest thing is watching out for fry during wc.

Dominant males are blue with black stripes, less dominant males will be more yellow but all males have a yellow egg spot on the anal fin. When young all saulosi are yellow like females but the males will change as they mature.
