P. Synspilum gender guess

Hey folks,
I am about to get this poor Syn from a friend. It shared a tank with various other aggressive fish that have beat on it pretty bad. Can anyone take a guess at gender? It is about 3 1/2+ inches. These aren't great shots, but you can see it has a pretty bright red head already and makes me think male....but the fins are rounded and the eyes aren't blue, but it may not be big enough yet for that.

At 3.5" that's pretty small (young), but on first glance, the profile looks feminine to me.
Males are usually much steeper as in these male Vieja below

profile looks female but it looks like it is getting the blue eyes and that is a male trait so I am guessing male.
