P14 Tank

Hey guys, I have the opportunity to get a tank that is 60 by 37 by 16. (inches) It also has a 100g sump, for a total system volume of around 250 gallons. I have kept rays before, but never a p14. They are probability my favorite ray when it comes to appearances. How long could I house a male in this tank? Would it be better in the long run to stick with another ray, such as hystrix? Thanks!

From pup form I think you'd be fine for a 1-2 years I think with a P14, but all depends on how fast your specific ray grows, some grow faster that others. Thats a great foot print so it may be longer as well. Hystrix or scobina would work for you and that tank could almost house them for life. It would be cozy but I think you'd be ok. I know the scobina breeder I got mine from housed his in a 60x60 tank.
