P22 "orange ray"

I was reading my Aqualog book for the 37th time and can't help but stop and look at this ray. Has anyone kept it or know anyone who has. I have looked at some baby motoros that had the solid spots like this one but not the orange color. Could it be a motoro variant?

What happened to it? I actually bought the wrong book initially. I got the freshwater stingray book which is basically the same as the soft cover I already have. I then had to go back and buy the P number book. So it costed me about $80 to get it.
