I've been seeing these guys around and think they look cool. I know they are predominantly inactive fish, but I am curious to know about their temperament. Are they suitable to mix with other fish that are their size and larger? I was thinking of keeping one in a large tank with an aro, a dat, some red hooks and a few other large catfish. Does anyone have experience keeping them in such a setup?

I keep six of them, 5 of them largely above the foot size, with my Aro's, CK and Channa. They are not agressive, in any sense. Not feeding, not otherwise. Theya are great tanmates with each other ( loke to be on top of each other like stacks of pancakes ) and do not care about other fish.

Some feed theirs pellets. I feed mine on shrimp, mussles and, with tweezers, fish fillets, which they eagerly gulp. It is a show to watch.

Get one.

Cool. Thanks... That's the kind of feedback I was hoping for...
