my gf has had a pacman frog for a little over a month now and since we got it it will not eat. we have tried feeding it small crickets, large crickets, frozen pinkys, and the mealworms that come in the can. The temp is at around 70-72 degrees and humididy stays above 50%. Any suggestions on this and how long can they go without eating? lately he has been flipping over alot and cannot unflip himself and we have to flip him over. Also is force feeding an option and if it is how would i go about doing that?

They are awesome animals. I am concerned about the flipping over. That sounds like a neurological disorder, or a viral something. I don't know that it would recover. 1 month is plenty of time for them to start eating.

If this is all he does, I honestly would consider euthanasia (Freezer) They simply do not flip over if they are healthy, unless if you flip them over.

A side note: Your temp is pretty low. I keep mine at a range of 75-80. Force feeding frogs can damage their delicate (surprise!) jaws - I would not do this.
I really do not like this flipping over thing though. Have you read any books on frogs? Look at the diseases section.

Also your humidy should be higher than 'just above 50'

The flipping over is the major concern. That sounds neurological to me as well. I've never seen that happen even with frogs that have fasted for over a month.

I've heard it happening with juveniles from time to time. The fix for that is to slope the substrate in the enclosure so he can right himself if he flips. If he is not a juvenile though, I would be concerned.

chances are its to small yet for pinkys. mine would never eat anything frozen or freeze dried. try live nightcrawlers or red worms or wax worms. increase your temp and make sure it stays moist
