got some new red pacu today.. problem is they're not eating.. any tips? thanks in advance

i have no extra tanks yet.. im giving them granules.. floating granules but they just wont eat them dunno why they're just at the bottom of the tank going wild!

One thing is that usually when I get new fish I dont even tend to feed them. I just turn the lights off and let them calm down for the day. But upgradeing the tank would really help. Just give it a day or two and they should eat.

You just got them today, just be patient, it can take a couple days to get used to the new tank, especially if it doesn't contain plants to hide in. Pacus get big, fast.

no kidding, you just got them.

get some sinking food if they're at the bottom.

pacus are pigs and they'll eat anything.

btw, you'll need a BIG monster tank to house 4 pacus.

they're known to be tank breakers (literally) when housed in a small tank.

thanks guys. il use ur advice but i still dont have an extra tank now il buy sometime if i get money. they still dont want to eat... and still at the bottom of the tank.. and when i go near the tank they go NUTS! they go WILD!

Don't worry, they calm down as they get bigger.

Pacus will get huge (in one year my two red pacus went from 1.5 in to 12-13in) But if they are in the tank for the first day give them some time and they will come around.
