I have two 26 inch Pacu's in a 96x24x48 Tank. I have had them for about 2 years growing.

Do any Pacu owners know of a processed veg pellet that will work well? My guys are not happy with normal veggies and stuff I give them so they end up eating mostly algae chips (which they love) or huge pond fish pellets.

If I could find something like the chips in more of a protein veggie chip that would be great. The Pacu's also like them becauset they fall fast and they go nuts for them.

Anyone know of a buyable food?

Thanks!

well u could just buy robust aquarium plants. pacus will chew on them and it has good nutrition as well as veggie pellets. dont always give it vegetation. pacus can eat meaty things too. shrimps, bloodworms, krill, pellets, algae wafers, plants, fresh lettuce, etc.

I already give them lots of "meat" like pellets, the odd goldfish and such. Just looking for other ideas for veggies so they get enough of that. I did give them carrots and some broccoli today for the first time and they liked it.

I also found these today to step up their veggie intake along with carrots and such i cut up. Contains mostly veggie compared to just algae chips.

Not sure how I never saw these on the shelf before. My boys are 26 inches now, time to start growing again!
