It is common practice and a good idea to raise your powerboard off the ground. Ideally above the filter and with a drip loop. A drip loop is leaving your cords slightly long and sagging down not taunt so any water running down/along the cord cant enter your powerboard. Attach a small hook to hang your powerboard(s) above filters if you can.

Water and electricity is dangerous but also catastrophic is water and surge protection which will cut off electrical power and potentially killing your fish from lack of filtration.

I love the Pacu BTW. I have some myself
