pacus are not cichlids, for your information.

i had 3 some years back, they suffocated during a power outtage. I didn't really like them, they were ugly swimming stomachs. Eat and eat and eat is all they did. Would rather have had redbelly piranhas, since piranhas look alot nicer.

sorry i dident no. but i would rather have piranhas 2. But unfortunatly there illegal here in C.A. or so i here. :wall: :angryfire :swear: :mad:
 
I have one about 5-6 lbs. For a while he was all I had in a large pond. I think he has a ton of personality and swims over when he sees people. I also think he is attractive, he has like a 2-tone grey pattern. Anyways, planning to get one or two more to join him.

I use to have several very nice ones with lots of red. I also had a couple of true black pacus. They're fun to keep but they grow way too fast and break stuff.
