I bought an arrow about a week ago and at the same time i got some rosies as feeders. But the rosies have been gone for about a day and i was trying to feed my arrow some krill and he will come about 2 inchs away from the food and then dart off in the other direction. He's about 4 inchs. Thing is that my gar will eat all day long and just comes up and eats it. Should I feed em every day or 3 days? And whats the amount i should feed them both?

I feed my aros everyday. Small aros can be skittish they just have to get used to their new home. How big is the tank?

EDIT** Sorry didn't see the tank size in your sig.

if the feeders are gone, he's young, and see's feeders as food at the moment since thats what you gave him. give it a few days and offer some pellets or krill and eventually he'll take it

He's just skittish.

Our baby silver was like that when we brought him home, and he still acts like that periodically. They kind of seem to get in moods. One day they'll be crashing into the glass if you so much as move towards them, the next day they might just be swimming around happily. It takes them awhile to settle in. Ours is just now settling in and we've had him for around 2 months now I think.
He used to swim away really fast when we went to put food in the tank, now he swims at my hand when I go to drop food in.

Feed him every day, just keep it to very small portions if you're looking to switch him to something. That way he'll stay a bit hungry and be more open to trying foods. I don't believe in starving baby fish, they need plenty of nutrients and this tactic seems to work well for me with just about any fish. After a few days of this our arow has now been on hikari food sticks for 2 days, hasn't spit even one out.
Once he's eating them consistently for awhile I'll start to put some krill and stuff back in his diet for color.

i'd say skittish 2... give him some time... he'll get over it soon...

u shud definitely try to feed dead food ike pellets or frozen cause apparently it makes them calmer. live food incites the adrenaline and gets their blood PUMPING!!!

An aro that size should be feed daily, you could try some freeze dried kill which will float on the waters surface. Also you can use a vegetable clip to hold the food, that worked for my large silver when I first adopted him.
