My new, very old 90 gal has a lot of scratches. On the viewing side it has a divot front and low center that might be visible with water in the tank. And a few heavier scratches low in the corner.
The back side has many many fine scratches.

If I paint the back side black will the fine scratches show more? Should I use the side with all the fine scratches as the viewing side?
Does painting the outside of a tank make the scratches more visible?

What if I paint all four sides? :nutkick:

Thanks, Elwood.

personally id have the side with more finer scratches as the front viewing panel. n yeah paint the larger scratched side black none will show.

if you paint all four side LOL will you have a lid on  to see the fish hahahahaha

I painted it deep blue with increasing black as it nears bottom. I purposefully did not make it a perfect smooth transition. It looks like there is movement in the dark beyond the tank...
