Paint on Glass

I bought a used tank over a year ago, and the back of the tank was spray painted blue. I was curious, does anyone know if paint thinner or remover would stain the glass if I tried to remove the paint? I didn't want to try to scrap it off because I don't want to scratch the glass.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You won't scratch the glass, just use a one sided razorblade in one of those holders and it should come off very easily. No need to use paint strippers, who knows what they would do to silicone...

Yeah, I'd opt for good old elbow grease before I bothered with chemicals.

use finger nail polish remover , it works miracles

dude seriously a razor blade is the best way to clean pain from glass no chemicals especially if your tank is currently up and running a blade will not scratch the glass as long as its a new sharp blade.....

just did a 8 foot tank with a razor blade that I bought with a t shaped handle and alot of elbow grease..It works great

I know what elbow grease is,
I'm middle aged and build custom houses by myself.
I was wondering what elbow grease is needed to run a razor blade across a piece of glass.
