What kind of paint can I use on a plastic PVC pipe that is inside my tank? Safe For Fish and all that. Its my overflow... no I did not do this myself, it was the dummy previous owner. I'd rather not paint it, but I'm about out of options... as I need to get this done and set up soon.

I use krylon fusion on all my pvc in my salt tanks. They have been running for 4 years with them in the tank with no problems.

I also use Fusion. The paint can flake off if you don't prep the surface first. A quick sanding with coarse sandpaper and a rubdown with acetone helps the paint stick better.

Krylon Fusion. Done. Painted it the same color as my bogwood. How long does it have to cure before its safely submersible?

I have put it in my stocked fish tank within 4 hours without any problems...It will depend on the thickness of the coats of paint you applied and how long you let it set between coats...Outside like you have it in the Sun is great and If you have a spot lamp and a 100watt light bulb, you can "bake" it and it will set faster...

You should be able to find some black PVC at your local hardware store.........
